Cara Howe was born and raised on Long Island, NY. Her interest in photography began at age eight when she was given her first camera. After working steadily in film for several years, Cara returned to photography, a natural step forward.
“I started my career in film due to my love of story telling. Yet, my passion resides in photography, where I am continually challenged to capture movement and moments.”
After earning a degree in film and television production at Emerson College, Cara furthered her studies in photography and advertising at The Portfolio Center in Atlanta. She currently resides in the NYC area and is the co-founder of Brooklynphoto Studio, LTD. and Brooklynphoto's One Night Only Art Series.
Her many clients have included Conde Nast / Teen Vogue, The New York Times, Experiment Publishing, NEO Design, Hunter Douglas, Barney's, Coach, Calvin Klein, Tory Burch, Camuto, Hanes Brands, Lord & Taylor, Jones Group, Polo Ralph Lauren, JCrew, Saks Fifth Ave., C Wonder, Milly and Michael Kors.
Cara is also a member of the International Cinematographer's Guild / IATSE local 600, and can now be spotted on movie set locations, all around the NYC area. www.carahowephoto.com
